These 6 Corporations Control 90% Of The Media In America

Media Consolidation: The Illusion of Choice (Infographic)

As a dad (and blogger) I’m concerned with the integrity of the news and entertainment my family and I consume every day. Who really produces, owns and airs the shows my kids are glued to every evening and which companies select the stories I read with such loyalty each morning? I’ve always advocated for critical consumption, and what could be more important than an awareness of the sources of our families’ daily info and entertainment diets? And today, most of our media is controlled by one of six companies. Check out Frugaldad’s infographic on the state of media consolidation in the U.S.:

  4. Lol, this was a fantastic graphic. Definitely worthy of disillusionment.

One thing I’ve contemplated was the conjunction of corporate controlled media force-fed to your average individual and the Television set itself.

Like most electronics, the Television emits a pitch when powered on. Anyone can hear this when they turn on their television despite how subtle it may be. It is like the internal pitch heard by one whom has Tinnitus (Which I have.). I’ve considered that this pitch emitting from Televisions sets may have the capacity to induce Trance on the viewer.

Add that with the fact that there are corporations whom wish to feed you only the information that they disseminate and we’ll call it:

“Corporate Psychosis induced by the radiating frequency of television combined with the excessive and empty advertisement of rigorous consumerism to exasperate the mind in complete subjugation.”

    Go shopping and stay scared!
